The charm of childhood - Disney characters
For many decades cartoons have been an integral part of children's lives. And the most famous creator of this bright and colorful childhood fairy tale is, of course, Walt Disney. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Aladdin, Pinocchio, Cinderella - they are all cartoon characters. Disney invented one of them, borrowed someone from books, but all of them are his offspring, sweet, kind and pleasing to the eye.
Walt Disney Biography
The genius who created a whole cartoon empire and added joy and bright colors to the life of children of the whole world, was born in 1901 in the winter. His parents, Flora and Elias Disney, were never rich. However, they had five children. The fourth in a row was born Walter Elias, who glorified his name for centuries.
Walt had an artistic talent from early childhood, but his father was a rather cruel person. In his understanding, work had to be work, not pleasure, therefore no one was engaged in developing the boy’s abilities. But he did not give up, drew where, what and when it was necessary - and it gave its fruits.
In a more mature age, Walter, after working in several advertising campaigns, learning a lot and gaining experience, created his first cartoon office, “Laff-o-gram,” and later his brother Roy joined in, and the Walt Disney Company was born. the same studio, the cartoons of which we all adore.
The very first characters of Walt Disney
At the very beginning of the history of cinema, people-actors were involved in the filming of cartoons. In this way, Disney took one of his first works - a series of stories about Alice, taking as a prototype "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. But after 1927, Disney decided that he would now only make fully animated films, and that was a huge step forward.
The Disney characters are known, probably, to every child, but few can tell which one was the first. No, it's not Mickey's little mouse. This is the rabbit Oswald, whose rights to authorship Walt has lost. But he did not grieve for long, but he created Mickey Mouse, who was drawn for him by his long-time friend and associate Ab Everx. By the way, Mickey is very reminiscent of Oswald.Simultaneously with the charming and cheerful Mickey, in 1928 his girlfriend Minnie Maus appeared. Later they were joined by: the careless dog of Pluto (in 1930), the stupid and good-natured Goofy (in 1932), Donald Duck (in 1934) and a few years later his wife Daisy Duck (in 1940).
The first full-length cartoon from the Disney Studio is the story of Snow White from the Grimm Brothers Tale. Once Walt Disney saw a black and white dumb cartoon "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and was just fascinated by it. And as soon as the opportunity presented itself, he immediately withdrew his version. It happened in 1937, it was then that an animated musical about the evil stepmother-witch, Snow White Princess, Prince Prince and seven award-winning dwarfs with speaking names, Vorchun, Chihun, Tychonya, Prostak, Doc, Veselchak and Sonya, came out on the cinema screens. Disney characters are very memorable. For this work, Walt received the prestigious award - the Oscar statuette, but not one, but eight! One traditional and seven in the form of little gnomes.
The next full-length project "Disney Company" was "Pinocchio" Carlo Collodi. It was released 3 years after “Snow White”, in 1940, and despite the success of the audience, the film failed in the box office for unknown reasons. However, he brought two Oscars to the studio's piggy bank - for the wonderful music playing in the film. In total, Disney received about three dozen Oscars in his career as a multiplier.
Cult heroes and characters
In addition to the full-length cartoons, Disney characters are also involved in the animated series. Some of the most famous and popular ones are “The Duck Tales”, “The Little Mermaid”, “New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh”, “Aladdin”, “Gummi Bears”, “The Black Cloak”, “Chip and Dale” ... The names of all these heroes Were at the hearing of children.
But full-length films that the studio began to produce more and more often enjoyed no less popularity. It was then, after the release of cartoons about the fabulous beauties, the cult of Disney princesses began among girls. The most beautiful were considered and are considered to be the heroines of the animated films “Cinderella”, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Beauty and the Beast”, “Aladdin” and “Sleeping Beauty”. The princesses Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Bell, Jasmine and Aurora became an example to emulate girls from all over the world.
However, new, more modern studio paintings too often still hit records in success, and the beauties are no worse there — for example, the sisters Anna and Elsa from Cold Heart, the long-haired Rapunzel from Confused History, Merida from Braveheart.
But the most kind and beautiful cartoons of the Disney studio are those where the main characters are animals. The masterpieces of animated cinema can be called "Lady and the Vagabond", "101 Dalmatians", "Kotov-aristocrats", "The Lion King", "Madagascar", "Ice Age" and many more. Photos of Disney characters often adorn the covers of children's magazines; over the years, their popularity is obviously only growing.
Since 1955, the Disney characters have received official residence not only in the cinema, but also in the real world.
