  • Curry powder - 1 tsp;
  • Sunflower oil for frying - 0.5-1 l;

In classic falafel, chickpeas are not boiled, but soaked in cold water for at least 4 hours. It is better to soak the peas all night, then in the morning it will suck up enough liquid.

  1. Peas are ground into a uniform mash-like mass in a blender or food processor. Onions and greens finely crumble. Garlic is pressed through the garlic press or grated.
  2. Place chickpea, bulgur, onion, greens, garlic in a deep bowl, add cumin, pepper, coriander, curry, to taste salt and pepper. Intensely mix, pour 3 tablespoons of water and mix well again.
  3. From the resulting mass form the balls. To prevent the mixture from sticking to the hands, moisten them with water. Get about 18 pieces.
  4. In a deep frying pan, pour the oil. Spread falafel on a well warmed pan so that it does not touch each other. The balls will be ready in 3-4 minutes of frying on medium heat.
  5. When the balls are covered with a golden crust, lay them on a paper napkin to remove excess fat.

Served hot on the table with a light vegetable salad, heated pita, olives, tahini or hummus.
